Behind the Sound #4: AuraCast (October 7, 2024)
Hi Backers,
As you know, we recently visited the PCB builders to develop the amplifier, and we’ve got some great news: the amplifier is receiving several updates!
• We’re upgrading from Bluetooth 5.1 to Bluetooth 5.4:
The jump from Bluetooth 5.1 to 5.4 brings several improvements:
1. Improved Energy Efficiency: Bluetooth 5.4 consumes less power, meaning devices like the Ferro will have a longer battery life.
2. Better Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.4 offers more stable connections and fewer interferences, especially in crowded environments with multiple wireless signals.
3. Auracast Support: We’re adding Auracast to the Homebase!
What is Auracast?
Auracast is a new technology that allows one audio device, like our Homebase, to broadcast audio to multiple receivers simultaneously, such as different Ferro speakers. The best part? No app is required, making it easy to play synced music across multiple rooms or spaces!
With the Homebase, you can also transmit audio to wireless earbuds or headsets that support Auracast. For example, if you connect a turntable to the Homebase, you can listen through both the Ferro speaker and your headphones, as long as they are Auracast-compatible. What’s more, even if you’re not using the Ferro, the Homebase can still send audio directly to your headphones. This makes the Homebase truly multifunctional.

Behind the Sound #3 (October 1, 2024)
Update: The Ferro has now been purchased in 19 different countries—how amazing is that! Maybe you have friends or family in places where the Ferro hasn’t been sold yet, and how fun would it be if they were the first to own one in their country? It’s definitely a great conversation starter at a birthday or party!
What’s next during the Kickstarter?
Right now, new housings are being 3D-printed for the Ferro, this time with a solid fill. This brings us very close to the final product. We have some exciting appointments lined up this week. This Friday, we have a meeting with our PCB builders, and we’ll finally get to see the first version of the PCB (AMP). After months of development, we already know the Ferro sounds great with separate amplifier modules, but we’re excited to see how much better it can be with the new custom AMP. As the founder, this is truly the cherry on top and a major milestone for us.
What happens after the Kickstarter?
After the Kickstarter, we’ll continue to focus fully on the development of the Ferro, just as we’ve been doing throughout the campaign. Alongside product development, we’ll also focus on the pre-sale phase. We may do this through our own website, but one thing is certain: the VIP launch, as it’s currently offered, will never be available again.
We’re going into the final two weeks of the Kickstarter campaign with full energy, and we hope to achieve the same fantastic results as we did in the first two weeks.

Behind the Sound – #2 (september 27, 2024)
This is what we’re doing today:
1. New Visuals: This morning, our intern will be capturing new footage of the Ferro speaker for his graduation project. It’s a great opportunity for us to help each other—he gains hands-on experience, and we receive fresh content for showcasing our product.
2. Acoustical Engineer Meeting: Later today, we have an online meeting with an acoustical engineer who might join our team. Their expertise will help us further improve the Ferro speaker and contribute to future product developments.
Collaboration and innovation are at the heart of what we do, and today’s focus is on both!

Great news! We’ve officially become an LLC, which means new opportunities are on the horizon, accelerating the future of the Ferro speaker. Starting today, we’ll give you a glimpse behind the scenes—both in product development and business strategy, as these go hand in hand.
In Behind the Sound, we’ll be sharing all relevant updates with you, including both information and visual content, so you can follow our journey every step of the way.
Today’s key meetings:
1. Finance Meeting: Discussing the financial future of Artizta.Audio.
2. Startup Readiness Program: Exploring our possible participation to improve both our product and customer experience.
3. Marketing Strategy Session: Defining who we want to be as a brand and evaluating our progress so far (PDCA cycle).
4. Ordering New Parts: We’re prepping demo models for upcoming demonstrations.
5. TIP® Framework: We discussed options with a professor to support our business using the TIP® Framework, which helps streamline innovation by integrating technology, processes, and resources. It provides a structured approach to improve operations and scale efficiently.
